There are many ways to get involved with us at Harrogate Theatre, the majority are listed below.

Friends

Friends of Harrogate Theatre are people who want more from their theatergoing than just sitting on a seat. They offer practical assistance to the Theatre's staff, social functions and involvement with the Theatre in a friendly atmosphere. An important part of the Friend's work is fundraising for the Theatre. Much essential equipment has been brought with funds generated by the Friends. A regular newsletter makes sure that the Friends keep up to date with the Theatre's plans, and membership entitles the Friends to discounts on repertory productions.

Tours and Talks

Free tours of the Theatre can be arranged for groups of any age. Get to see the workings of an original Victorian theatre, from under stage to high above it! Talks about all aspects of the Theatre's work are available at the Theatre for your group or society.

Corporate Involvement

Discover the benefits of corporate involvement with Harrogate Theatre. There are sponsorship opportunities to suit every company budget, together with corresponding benefits: advertising in our programmes, sponsorship of individual performances, whole shows, the brochure and, of course our traditional pantomime. Harrogate Theatre can also offer conference facilities with seating for up to 250 delegates in the stalls, Projection screens, radio microphones, lighting and sound. If required a full bar service can be arranged. We can accommodate up to 50 guests in our top-floor Studio Theatre, away from the buzz of the Circle Bar. This intimate area is ideal for small seminars, training and pre-show receptions. We can also provide excellent catering and bar facilities if required. Total Show You can hire the entire theatre for a full show seating up to 500 patrons. We can arrange first class technical support, box office and bar facilities, ushers and use of the studio for up to 50 guests.

Ushers

Without the dedication and loyalty of our Volunteer Ushers the Theatre wouldn't be able to operate. Ushers take on many roles: taking tickets, selling ice creams, staffing the shop, selling programmes, helping people to their seats - the list is endless. Training is provided, and to start with, new recruits are teamed up with experienced ushers. There is no particular age limit, but you need to think about finishing late at night and how you will travel home.
